Will Big Boi Solo Album Come Before OutKast Reunion LP?

Big Boi confirms that he has a solo record coming.

Fans will finally get to see the OutKast reunion they longed for when the ATLiens hit the festival circuit this year, but die-hards waiting for that reunion album may have to wait a little longer.

There has been no official confirmation concerning a new Big Boi and Andre 3000 LP, but Sir Lucious Left Foot has confirmed that he will be dropping his third solo LP sometime in the near future. "We have a couple of new jams we recorded in the studio recently," Big told Revolt TV, referencing Killer Mike. "So watch out for that new Big Boi solo record coming too."

Mr. DJ, the group's disc jock, did confirm that the two were recording a lot of individual material, but stopped short of giving any confirmation of a group album. "I get the feeling that the energy and camaraderie from the tour will bring everything full circle. We may make it back in for an album following that," he said.

One of OutKast's tour stops will be in Gulf Shores, Alabama, at the 2014 Hangout Music Festival from May 16 to May 18.

Queen Latifah, who used to manage OutKast and still has close ties to the group, got the rumor mill turning when she told Howard Stern earlier this month that the Two Dope Boyz (in a Cadillac) were "about to work on a new album."

Days later she backtracked on her quote. "The rumor mill says I predicted an @Outkast album...except I didn't," she wrote on Twitter on January 16. "Sorry to get twitter a flutter. XO"
