No wonder Chris Hemsworth kept proudly patting wife Elsa Pataky's belly at the Golden Globes this Sunday! The father-to-be has twice as much reason to be delighted about that growing baby bump, having confirmed through his rep that he and Pataky are expecting twins.
The new kids are due in early spring, right around the time that the couple's 20 month-old daughter, India Rose, turns two. It'll be a big event in an already-busy year for Hemsworth: the actor has a whopping four films in the pipeline, including the sequels to "The Avengers" and "Snow White and the Huntsman."
And perhaps most importantly, the new babies will be here in plenty of time for the family to dress up as the Avengers cast for Halloween. Can we just put in an official request right now for a photo of at least one Baby Hemsworth dressed up as a tiny Hulk? Thanks.
Unfortunately for the celebrity gossipmongers of the world, it's tough to speculate on the babies' names when there's no word yet on whether they're boys or girls, or one of each. But let's be honest, you really can't go wrong with "Thor" and "Loki." Or perhaps "Kirk" and "Spock," the better to remind Chris of his brief but heart-rending role in "Star Trek?"
And if the couple wants to name the two new little ones in the same international/botanical vein as their first, the possibilities are endless: China Sage, Romania Lily, Sahara Iris, Turkey Tomato, or Canada Goose.
...Okay, never mind, this is harder than we thought.
In the meantime, though, the babies will be unofficially nicknamed "Fast" and "Furious" until somebody tells us otherwise.
