Ever since the hot sun set on the 2013 festival, musicheads everywhere have been counting down the days until Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns to the Palm Desert. And when the lineup was finally announced on Wednesday night (January 8), they didn't seem sure they could wait any longer.
And while the stellar lineup includes a bevy of big names to please everyone, there's one name that undoubtedly stole the spotlight: OutKast.
That's right, the hip-hop veterans will join Muse and Arcade Fire as this year's festival headliners, confirming months of rumors that Andre 3000 and Big Boi would use the April fest to give diehard fans the reunion they've been salivating for.
But from the looks of it, hip-hop diehards won't be the only ones pleased when the festival kicks off on April 11 in Indio, California. Other standouts include 2013's biggest artists including "it" guy Pharrell, indie pop darling Lorde, MGMT, Zedd, girl-power group Haim, EDM superproducer Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Lana Del Rey. Ellie Goulding, A$AP Ferg, Bastille, Sleigh Bells, Dillon Francis, Girl Talk and Neutral Milk Hotel will also perform, among many others.
The until Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place over two weekends: April 11 to April 13 and April 18 to April 20. Festival passes for both weekends go on sale Friday, January 10 at 10 a.m. PST.
