Jay Z And Rick Ross Sear Our Faces Off With ‘The Devil Is A Lie’: Listen

Hov and Rozay are at it again with a new track.

Bey and Hov are a true power couple — just a few days after Beyonce dropped her new record in the dead of night, Jay Z and Rick Ross are out with a new K.E.-produced single “The Devil Is A Lie,” off Ross’ upcoming LP, Mastermind.

After teasing the hell out of the collab on Twitter Thursday (December 19), Rozay dropped the song via SoundCloud this afternoon, along with a tweet teasing Mastermind reading: “Mastermind on the way.”

The track is a true tour de force: frenzied, studded with horns and driving drum machines, with both Barneys and Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse getting shoutouts.

When Rozay spoke with MTV News about the track back in October, he didn’t let on much, but simply said: “We’re pushing the envelope once again and it’s just one of those records I can’t wait to hit the streets.”

“We went in another direction, but it’s just one of those records that’s gonna speak for itself and everybody’s gonna have their opinion of it,” he added.

Well, it seems the wait is finally over.

Jay Z previously enlisted Rick Ross for the Magna Carta Holy Grail track “Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit.” “The Devil Is Alive” is their sixth collaboration.
