Kelly Rowland Confirms Her Engagement

'Yes, it's official,' Kelly tells talk-show host Queen Latifah after manager/boyfriend proposed via screen.

Kelly Rowland's fiancé must have liked it, because he put a ring on it. Weeks after it was rumored that the former Destiny's Child singer was engaged to her manager, Tim Witherspoon, Rowland confirmed the news during a visit to Queen Latifah's talk show.

"He put a ring on it," the singer revealed before flashing the sparkler in the episode airing Wednesday. "Yes, it's official."

"It's been a while. We've kept [our relationship] very, very low — for years, to be completely honest," she told the talk-show host of her low-profile relationship with Witherspoon.

So, how did he pop the question? "He asked me first on Skype," Rowland dished. "And I was like, 'We're so far away from each other.' I was in, like, Bulgaria somewhere. But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say 'yes.' I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Rowland first prompted engagement speculation in early November after she was spotted wearing a sparkly ring in an Instagram video.

"She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy," a source told Us Weekly at the time. "She wants to ... enjoy [it] and celebrate for a bit longer."

This is the second engagement for Rowland, who was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams.

The "Motivation" singer's relationship news comes at a busy time for her. After dropping the album Talk a Good Game earlier this year, she joined "X Factor" as a judge, which wraps up its third season on Thursday night. She also recently reunited with her D.C. groupmates in the video for Beyoncé's "Superpower."
