‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Casts Anastasia’s Stepfather

Callum Keith Rennie will play Ray Steele in the steamy adaptation of E.L. James' novel.

Anastasia Steele has found her daddy.

Callum Keith Rennie has been cast as Ray Steele in Universal’s “Fifty Shades of Grey,”according to The Hollywood Reporter.The 53-year-old actor will play Ray Steele, the stepfather of Dakota Johnson‘s Anastasia in the film adaptation of E.L. James’ steamy novel. Ray is an ex-husband of her mother whom Anastasia regards as her “real” father, while Dylan Neal will play her mother’s current husband.

“Fifty Shades” is currently shooting in Vancouver, British Columbia, with Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the leading roles. The film also features Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia’s mother, Rita Ora is Mia Grey, Marcia Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Eloise Mumford as Kate Kavanagh, Victor Rasuk as Jose, and Max Martini as Grey’s bodyguard.

The highly anticipated film is due to hit theaters on February 13, 2015.

Rennie’s acting credits include the 2000 film “Memento,” a lengthy stint on “Battlestar Galactica,” as well as roles in “The Killing,” “The Firm” and “Californication.” He recently wrapped work on “The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet.”
