Last week, Jean-Claude Van Damme took the Internet by storm by performing the most epic of splits between two moving semis. And there's no doubt he stirred up some competition among other stars, so it's no surprise that Channing Tatum would want to outdo him on the set of "22 Jump Street."
The video appeared Tuesday on Tatum's personal YouTube page, and, sporting a longer do for the "21 Jump Street" sequel, the star attempts his own version of the most epic of splits on top of two food carts from the set.
"I've had my ups and downs. Being an undercover cop, that's what made me what I am today," Tatum says in a voice over. "Surviving high school was no easy task, neither is being a college freshman at my age, but because of this, my body is now engineered to defy the laws of physics and the mindset to mast the most epic of splits."
From there, the stunt goes about as well as you would imagine. Tatum may be quite the dancer, but he can't match the physicality of "The Muscles from Brussels."
"22 Jump Street," which has been filming for more than a month down in New Orleans, literally takes Schmidt and Jenko across the road to work for another division of the undercover team, this time taking them to college. The film is directed by "21 Jump Street" helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with Michael Bacall back to write the screenplay.
"22 Jump Street" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 13, 2014.
