Live from New York, it's Josh Hutcherson! "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" star will host this week's "Saturday Night Live" with Haim joining him as musical guest. And if you aren't sure he has the ability to make you laugh outside of the arena, his promos for this week's episode will surely prove otherwise.
The LOL-inducing promos feature the "Hunger Games" star getting physically assaulted several times, included one promo where he gets punched by "SNL" star Bobby Moynihan and is, rather aptly, on fire in another. But it doesn't end there. In another promo, a ball gets thrown in his face during the "SNL Initiation" to see if he's as ready for the show as Justin Timberlake. (Spoiler: He is. He takes a ball to the face like a true pro.)
"And now let the Hunger Games begin," Moynihan declares in yet another clip. But, it has nothing to do with Hutcherson's flick; instead it refers to what he yells when he's hungry. "It's not all about you, Josh," he warns the actor.
Another weird skit has both actors trading stories about their worst summer jobs. Hutcherson worked at an ice cream parlor where things got "pretty sticky." Meanwhile Moynihan recalled a job where he helped euthanize dogs, a moment that led to lots of awkward back and forth.
As if that wasn't bizarre enough, Bobby requests that Josh give back the hot dog he borrowed from his younger brother, Connor, two summers ago.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" hits theaters on Friday, one day before Hutcherson's hosting gig on "SNL."
