Arcade Fire Announce Reflektor Tour

28-date trek kicks off March 2, will take Arcade Fire to arenas across North America.

Arcade Fire have already played salsa clubs and warehouses in support of their just-released Reflektor album … now, they’re getting around to arenas.

On Thursday, the band announced the North American leg of the Reflektor tour, set to kick off March 2 in Louisville, Kentucky. The 28-date trek will criss-cross the continent before coming to a close with an outdoor show at Parc Jean Drapeau in their home town of Montreal. According to the band’s publicist, additional dates will be announced in the coming weeks, and tickets to the general public go on sale beginning Friday, November 22 through LiveNation.

The tour marks Arcade Fire’s first foray into arenas in America, and the announcement comes a little over a week after Reflektor debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 … their second-consecutive album to open atop the chart. There’s still no word on just who will serve as the opening act on the trek, or, if Arcade Fire will be following the formula of their recent shows as “the Reflektors” and make formal attire mandatory for all attendees. But how else is one supposed to dress at a venue as hallowed as the KFC Yum! Center?
