If the newest "Glee" cast member, Erinn Westbrook, looks familiar, chances are you've seen her right here on MTV.
Before playing McKinley High meanie Bree, the Harvard grad got her on-camera start VJing for mtvU. "It's fun to be on the other side of the interview this time," Westbrook told MTV News upon arriving for her sit-down.
Since her days of tossing to music videos and chopping it up with celebs — "I think the most notable interview probably was Snoop Dogg" — Westbrook has landed another gig that combines both her love for music and being on camera.
"I always admired the cast of 'Glee' just because they were all so multi-talented," Westbrook said. "I think joining this show is especially important for me because I feel like I always want to get to the next level and because I have all of those different interests, it seems like it's the perfect fit."
Another perfect fit was her character's cheerleading uniform. "I'm a cheerio," Westbrook exclaimed. "I was varsity cheerleading captain in high school — glory days! — so putting on a cheerleading uniform has certainly taken me back."
And while her role as Bree has given Westbrook "a little bit of nostalgia," there's one aspect of her character that isn't as familiar.
"She's not the nicest girl, man that Bree. She is going to be stirring some things up," Westbrook explained. "She is bringing a little bit of drama to this cast, and she is the new mean girl, so you know I think fans will love to hate her for sure."
