'The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug': Watch The New Trailer Now!

Bilbo and a whole lot of dwarves and elves are back in the new sneak peek.

Because it's Tuesday, there's a new "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" trailer ... and if the last line in it doesn't give you chills, you aren't human.

The new, nearly three-minute look — labeled a sneak peek — debuted last night during a global fan event held by Warner Bros. in support of the December sequel. While some of the footage has been previously shown off, this does give us a far better look at one aspect in particular: the relationship between Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield.

In the first movie, Thorin led a band of dwarves, one Hobbit and a wizard on a quest to reclaim the dwarves' homeland from a dragon named Smaug. As Bard reveals in the trailer, even if Thorin does beat Smaug, something even worse might be on the horizon. And that worse thing, as fans of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy know, is the biggest of the bad in Middle Earth: Sauron.

The second half of the trailer moves into action scenes focusing on the elves — Orlando Bloom's returning Legolas and Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel — and how they might get involved in the action, as well as Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins. Turns out there's a very specific stone Bilbo has been tasked with stealing, with the only hitch being that Bilbo isn't actually a robber. He just said he was in order to come along on this epic adventure.

And then at the very end, we get to hear a new line from Benedict Cumberbatch's Smaug, bringing it all back around: "I am king under the mountain," roars the dragon, blasting a stream of fire directly at Bilbo.

"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" hits theaters on December 13.
