Not to be out done by [article id="1715949"]Kimye[/article], Ciara and Future got engaged. The rapper asked the "Body Party" singer to marry him over the weekend, a rep for the couple confirmed.

According to the Associated Press, Future popped the question with a 15-carat ring while she was in New York City celebrating her 28th birthday.

No date has been set for the nuptials. Ciara and Future, who is currently on tour with [article id="1715870"]Drake on his Would You Like a Tour?[/article] jaunt, have been dating for about a year. They appeared together in Ciara's sexy, VMA-nominated video [article id="1706197"]"Body Party."[/article]

Over the weekend, Ciara took to Twitter to express her excitement about the engagement.

Ciara spoke to MTV News back in April about her [article id="1706580"]romance with the rapper[/article].

"When you do step outside, you put yourself in a position to where people are going to be able to judge and they could criticize and they can give their opinion and that's something I used to always fear," she said of going public with the rapper.

She added, "That's where I am at this day and time in my life and I'm also with someone who makes me extremely comfortable to be that way, which is really important. The way that he makes me feel, why not? If you love somebody you should express it, and now I understand that. There's nothing sexy about hiding your love. There's nothing sexy about people not acknowledging each other."
