Will Jay Z Finally Release ‘Beach Is Better’ In Full?

Mike Will tells MTV News he hopes to get the full version on his upcoming Est. in 1989 Pt.3.

Still riding high off his his executive producer role on Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz, it’s about time for Mike Will Made It perfect to start thinking about his major-label debut, Est. in 1989 Pt.3.

Already Mike has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Future, 2 Chainz, T.I., Big K.R.I.T., Brandy and Kelly Rowland. Then there is Jay Z, who Mike Will produced the 55-second track “Beach is Better” on Hov’s Magna Carta… Holy Grail LP. Since the LP dropped in July fans have been clamoring for a full version.

“I need to sit down with Hov,” Mike Will said before paraphrasing a conversation he had with their mutual friend and music industry power player Steve Stoute. “He was telling me that Hov was talking about ’Beach is Better’. He was talking about getting back in and everything, but I might need to talk to Hov about letting me go ahead and get that full version and put it on Pt.3.”

Mike Will has high hopes for his Est. in 1989 Pt.3 album; he’s dropped Pt. 1, Pt. 2 and Pt. 2.5 as free mixtapes online, but now that he’s signed to Interscope he’s ready to make his mark. Luckily for him he doesn’t have to look much further than his new labelmate Dr. Dre for inspiration.

“I feel like with this album the expectations are high, so it’s like when Dre came with The Chronic he gave the people something and it changed culture, it changed music,” Mike Will said. “With my album I gotta make sure I give them a moment. I wanna drop a triple disc. I’m dropping triple disc, period. Not wanting to, I’m dropping a triple disc.”
