Jennifer Lawrence is about get dumb, real dumb. The Oscar-winning actress has plenty of serious, dramatic roles on tap and, of course, tons of action in store in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." But fans will see a very different side of her next year.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence recently visited the Atlanta set of "Dumb and Dumber To" to film a cameo as the younger version of Kathleen Turner's love interest, Fraida Felcher.
She'll star alongside the returning dim-bulb duo of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who embark on a road trip to find Daniels' long-lost daughter. Though Lawrence has ascended to the top of the Hollywood heap thanks to her award-winning turn in "Silver Linings Playbook," the "Dumb" role is right up her alley.
During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show earlier this year, she told the late night talker that the 1994 original "Dumb" movie was one of her all-time favorites. "I know every word to 'Dumb and Dumber,' 'Step Brothers' and 'Anchorman,'" she said, before unleashing a spot-on line reading from Carrey's character from the movie's final scene.
"Dumb and Dumber To" is scheduled for release next year.
