Spears will take over Planet Hollywood for the next two years, playing 50 shows a year. Tickets for the residency hit the market on Friday (September 20) and the first round of dates have been announced.
Spears hasn't given too many hints as to what fans will get to see when they come out to the shows. So MTV News has put together a little wish list of what we hope to see when the femme fatale takes the stage later this year.
She appears on the artwork for her new single, "Work Bitch," in a leotard, complete with plunging neckline, sparkles and fur. Considering she'll be in Vegas, we hope she busts out a whole bunch of these looks. Though we're also crossing our fingers that she pays homage to some of her most unforgettable looks, including fresh spins on her "Hit Me, Baby, One More Time" school girl uniform and the "Oops!... I Did It Again" red cat suit.
You'd Better Work!
Weeks before she heads to Vegas, she will drop her eighth studio album on December 3. So far, fans have gotten a taste of it with "Work Bitch," her pulsing dance single. She's guaranteed to bust that track out, ut Spears also knows how to slow things down, so she might want to slip in her new ballad, "Perfume," into the mix as well.
Oops, We Hope She Does It Again
Previously, Spears shared that "I'm definitely going to do the greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material into it just to keep it fresh." And we're fine with keeping it fresh as long as she dives deep into her iconic catalogue of tunes which include "Baby One More Time," "Every Time," "Toxic, "Circus," "Oops," "Hold It Against Me" and "Circus," to name a few.
Calling All Besties
Spears has confirmed that she might bring out her older son, Preston, onstage with her. And that's adorable. But, Spears has so many A-list pals that may pass through Vegas during her residency that we're hoping to see Miley Cyrus, who enlisted Spears' help for her album Bangerz, or Spears' former tourmate and Vegas regular Pauly D hop onstage with her. If anything, LMFAO's Sky Blu has already offered up his services. Party rock, indeed!
Spears: In 3-D!
Given how many stars are releasing 3-D flicks, Spears' Vegas residency seems like the perfect opportunity for the singer to show fans what she's like behind-the-scenes, but also take fans to Sin City who may not have gotten the chance to see it for themselves. Sure, it might be two years in the making, but good things are worth the wait.
