If you were ever wondering what kind of music Katy Perry puts on when she wants to get in the mood, well now you know. The singer revealed what gets her hot during her iTunes radio guest DJ stint.
"Who doesn't love Drake? Drake is so sensitive but yet still so cool. It's a very hard balance to find sometimes. Emotional guys that are sensitive but strong and Drake is definitely that kind of guy. And he really hit home for on this next one called 'Hold On.' I think it's beautiful. It sounds a little bit like kind of old vibey Lionel Richie [or] The Weeknd. It's sexy as hell" Perry said. "And I listen to it with my boyfriend [John Mayer], so I would suggest listening to it with whoever you wanna make out with."
In fact, she included his Nothing Was The Same smooth jam [article id="1711912"]"Hold On, We're Going Home"[/article] on her playlist, among other tracks by HAIM, Iggy Azalea, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Robyn and Lorde. She sang Lorde's praises, calling the 16-year-old an "old soul" and someone who will change pop culture.
Previously Perry dished to MTV News that it was R&B superstar Miguel that got her into a romantic mood when she was [article id="1701677"]hanging out with Mayer[/article].
"Oh my god, Miguel. I am such a fan of you," Perry gushed as she shared a kiss on the cheek with the singer. "I hope you win everything," she added, before revealing whom she has to thank for getting her into his smooth breakout hit "Adorn." "I love your song so much. My boyfriend and I listen to it all the time. He actually turned me on to it, and that song turns me on."
During her iTunes set, she also revealed that there's also a special song she likes to dance to. That song would happen to be Major Lazer's "Bubble Butt." "We all have that one song which after a couple drinks, you can't help but shake it," she said. "That song for me is [Major Lazer's] 'Bubble Butt.' It's the song I like to get down to. I don't really even need to drink to get down to it. It's great."
She also featured songs off her third studio album, [article id="1713622"]Prism[/article], out October 22. She played her empowering jam, "Roar," as well as the darker, Juicy J-assisted, [article id="1714180"]"Dark Horse."[/article]
