"Kill Your Darlings," a new retelling of one of the darkest moments of the beat generation starring Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan and Jack Huston, among many other talented young actors, has been grabbing headlines from the word "go," and with a wide release scheduled for next month, the general public will get to see what everyone is talking about.
But for now, you can check out a set of exclusive photos from "Kill Your Darlings" that features Elizabeth Olsen, as well as Radcliffe and DeHaan.
At this year's Sundance Film Festival, the first audience saw the finished film. Many raved about the strong performances from Radcliffe and DeHaan, while others chose to focus on their on-screen sexual relationship, something that confused the former "Harry Potter" actor when MTV News spoke with him in Park City, Utah.
"It's interesting that it's deemed shocking," Radcliffe said. "For me, there's something very strange about that because we see straight sex scenes all the time. We've seen gay sex scenes before. I don't know why a gay sex scene should be any more shocking than a straight sex scene. Or both of them are equally un-shocking."
Months before anyone saw the movie, one of Radcliffe's co-stars, Jack Huston, predicted that audiences would be shocked, but not for the headline-grabbing reasons. "I think people are going to be shocked about how good he is," Huston said at the premiere of "Boardwalk Empire." "He's really coming into himself. It's very hard getting out of the shadow of something like 'Harry Potter' because... it's as big as it gets in the film world. I think he really wants to be considered the actor he's capable of actually becoming. I'm happy that I got to work with him and actually see him do what he's capable of doing."
