Justin Timberlake Is Coming To The 2013 VMAs!

JT will perform and be presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2013 VMAs.

Over the past decade, Justin Timberlake has brought SexyBack and made you put on your best Suit & Tie (when he wasn't acting or investing, of course) and now, he's making his triumphant return to the MTV Video Music Awards, for an unforgettable performance ... and a piece of history.

Not only will JT once again grace the VMA stage, but, in recognition of his remarkable string of music videos — from the dark "Cry Me A River" and the futuristic "Rock Your Body" to recent work like the stylish [article id="1701997"]"Suit & Tie"[/article] and the haunting [article id="1704004"]"Mirrors"[/article] — he'll also receive the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, joining a prestigious list of past recipients that includes the King of Pop himself, not to mention Madonna, R.E.M. and the Beastie Boys.

Both as a member of 'NSync and a solo artist, Timberlake has won an astounding 14 VMAs, a number that puts him second to only Madonna in total wins, and he'll be looking to add to that total at the 2013 show: [article id="1710689"]He's up for six Moonmen[/article] ... tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most of any artist.

In addition to all those wins, he's also established his VMA legacy with a series of memorable performances, including [article id="1614843"]sharing the stage with the King of Pop[/article] in 2001, teaming up with Clipse in '02 for "Like I Love You," and his cool-y confident "SexyBack/My Love" medley in '06. And given a history like that, well, we can't wait to see what he does at this year's show.

JT is just the latest superstar confirmed to appear at the 2013 VMAs, joining a list that already includes [article id="1711264"]Lady Gaga[/article], [article id="1711808"]Kanye West[/article], [article id="1712189"]Katy Perry[/article] and [article id="1712244"]Miley Cyrus[/article]. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
