Tomorrowland 2013 Lifts Off With Dance Party At 24,000 Feet: Watch Now!

Champagne flows as dance music fest fills 29 planes with revelers bound for Tomorrowland, and MTV News has your boarding pass.

BOOM, Belgium -- The magical world of Tomorrowland teases an experience unlike any other festival. And this year, after 13,000 global journey packages sold out in just five hours, some lucky fans got to kick things off en route to the Belgian town that hosts the dance music experience.

In partnership with Brussels Airlines, organizers filled 29 Tomorrowland-themed flights with guests from every continent across the globe. In addition to the Tomorrowland party flights, there were 140 departures from 67 cities descending upon the Tomorrowland Brussels terminal for the fest, which officially launches Friday. Eight-thousand festival enthusiasts are expected to fly to Brussels this year, four times the amount that boarded for the 2012 edition.

MTV News headed down on one of the party flights, which included music, video projections of some of last year's performances, gifts compliments of the festival (like a watch from Belgian brand Ice) and, on two extra-lucky flights, a live DJ. For instance, festivalgoers leaving from Basel, Switzerland, got to spend their flight sipping champagne while watching Tomorrowland veteran Dimitri Vegas perform a live set. Finally, upon arrival in the Tomorrowland terminal, guests were shuttled to the home of the annual gathering in Boom.

"The increase in passenger numbers and countries [we] were able to service this year via global journey is a testament to the increasing international popularity of the festival," Get In PR's Toby Andrews, director of publicity for the fest, told MTV News. "To witness people landing into Brussels Airport from all corners of the globe was a real special moment and we're proud to host them for these five days at the festival."

Once at De Schorre National Park, the site of the festival, guests are mostly choosing to relax a little or simply jumping into the show experience at a special stage set up in DeamVille, Tomorrowland's camping ground. Tomorrowland 2013 has begun.
