Mac Miller may like watching moves on mute, but he likes his music real loud, and on Tuesday (May 28), his label officially dropped off "Goosebumpz," a new Diplo-produced track that will appear on the rapper's upcoming Watching Movies with the Sound Off.
The frantically paced track matches the intensity of other Miller-fan favorites like "Loud" and "Donald Trump" and lyrically finds Mac mixing words with precise timing. "Better act right, 'cause I smack dykes/ Give 'em blow and a bit of that bagpipe/ Bitch wanna live that rap life, but I already hit that last night," he rhymes at the top of the song.
Before the song's hook the Pittsburgh spitter imagines his own rap life after death. "When I die, bet she f--- my hologram," he shouts obnoxiously.
Ahead of the Watching Movies June 18 release date, Mac has dropped a number of tracks, including the title cut and the first single "S.D.S." The LP, which hit iTunes for pre-order today, will feature guest appearances from Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Jay Electronica, Action Bronson, Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. Even with a vast array of contributors, Mac manages never to lose himself by handling a great deal of the album's production. That's one of the chief differences between Watching Movies with the Sound Off and Miller's debut LP Blue Slide Park. "It's just dope but I'm still self-conscious about my beats because they [haven't really been] out there and this is where it's starting," he told MTV News earlier this month. "I'm excited to have beats on my own album."
