Yes, what began with 64 bands battling their way through the bracket has come down to this: four acts — Tokio Hotel, Ed Sheeran, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Walk The Moon — all competing for the same singular goal: the Musical March Madness championship (and the very nice, very big gold trophy that comes along with it). After three weeks and 30 million votes … the title is perilously close; and a loss now would hurt so bad.
Of course, to get there, Mars is going to have to figure out a way to defeat Walk The Moon, something no other band in the tournament has been able to do so far. WTM entered the field of 64 as a lowly 15 seed, but, after impressive victories over the likes of the Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy, they’ve managed to accomplish what no other MMM underdog has: punch their ticket to the Final Four. One more win would put them in the championship game, and strike a blow for little guys everywhere. Can they continue their dream run, and become the most improbably champs in tournament history? Well, that’s up to you!
MTV’s Musical March Madness tournament reaches the Final Four! Voting is now open in all matchups and polls close Monday, April 8 at noon ET, at which point we’ll head to the MMM Championship Game. All winners are determined by your votes, so if your favorite act made the cut, it’ll be up to you to guide them to glory! You can spread the word on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM — but get ready, it’s gonna be a war.
