The Jonas Brothers are gearing up for their next chapter, and they're giving fans reason to cheer. After releasing a 30-second teaser of new single [article id="1704261"]"Pom Poms,"[/article], Kevin, Joe and Nick dropped a 16-second preview of the [article id="1702163"]music video[/article] on Tuesday (March 26).
The clip, which features the trio playing guitars as sparks fly behind them, was filmed last month in New Orleans, where they enlisted the help of two local cheerleading squads and the Southern University marching band. The JoBros also confirmed that the full video will premiere on E! on April 2. On the same day, "Pom Poms" will also debut as a complete track on "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest."
The pop song was written and produced by Nick, who got some help from his big brothers and songwriter Paul Phamous. And in a recent interview with Parade, Joe opened up about the inspiration for their [article id="1695450"]upcoming album[/article], shouting out soulful artists like Bruno Mars.
"A lot of old school music — not only blues, but soul music and also some dance music that we were listening to," Joe teased. "On top of that, there are artists like Bruno Mars and a couple others that are really using a lot of instruments in their live music that they incorporate with the album. That's what we've been trying to do."
And though we haven't heard too much of "Pom Poms" yet, there is a somewhat similar vibe to Mars' hit "Locked out of Heaven." Like the Bruno tune, the brothers get spiritual about love, singing, "Every time you come around/ Here 'em sayin' yeah/ Every time feels like a revival."
