Selena Gomez may have stopped by the "Late Show With David Letterman" to chat about her new flick, "Spring Breakers," but it wasn't [article id="1702062"]bikinis[/article] and cocktails that the talk show host and the actress ended up bonding over.
On Monday night, Letterman brought up Gomez's [article id="1703127"]currently single dating status[/article]. She confirmed that she's not seeing anyone ("not yet"), and somewhere along the way also revealed her penchant for making boys, specifically her very famous ex, cry.
"Now, I remember last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber?" Letterman said, with Selena laughing, "I was with 'a Justin Bieber?' ... No, I'm single. I'm so good." ([article id="1700893"]Bieber confirmed they broke up[/article] in January.)
After Letterman double-checked to make sure that Gomez is doing fine after the split, he shared, "Now, the last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation... he said something and then I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry."
He was most likely referring to a conversation he had with Bieber last June. Bieber showed off some fresh ink, and then Letterman requested he not get too tatted up, leaving his body to look like the Sistine Chapel. When Bieber referred to it as the 16th chapel, his misunderstanding left the room laughing but Bieber visibly upset.
Selena then had this to say about her ex, "Well, then that makes two of us." The wisecrack left the normally reserved Letterman pretty impressed by her comedic timing and the twosome even fist pumped. "That's pretty good, pretty strong," he told the starlet.
What does Selena attribute her light-hearted sassiness to? "I'm Mexican too, might I add," she giggled.
It's a big week for Gomez. Her movie "Spring Breakers," which opened in limited release last Friday, opens in wide release on March 22. It was directed by "Kids" mastermind Harmony Korine and co-stars James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine, Gucci Mane and Ashley Benson.
