It's hard to ignore the influence that Young Money and Maybach Music Group have on the game, and on Wednesday's "RapFix Live," we will have representatives from both crews on deck as Mack Maine and Wale join MTV News' Sway Calloway on the red couch.
On Sunday, Mack Maine premiered his "Celebrate" video on MTV2, while simultaneously dealing with the hospitalization of his friend and Young Money CEO Lil Wayne. Not only will Mack update us on Wayne's current condition and Weezy's upcoming I Am Not a Human Being II album, he will also talk about his own career as a rapper and record executive and let fans know what they can expect next from him.
Wale has plenty of news to share himself. The Washington, D.C., native is planning for the release of his third major label LP. MTV News caught up with the Maybach Music MC in November when he promised that his next album will take fans back to his early mixtape days. "It probably sounds the most like 100 Miles & Running and a little bit of Attention Deficit," he told us. "I just wanna show range. I've proven a lot to my peers and to myself and to my fans, so I just want to take it back to something a little bit more exciting, when the music was most exciting to me."
In addition to our all-star guests, you can also catch the latest news and up-and-coming rappers on our "Get in the Game" segment on "RapFix Live."
Catch Wale and Mack Maine on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com and live on MTV Jams. Be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the artists to @MTVRapFix!
