Bow Wow Loses Lawsuit With French Porn Star

A judge ordered the rapper to pay Katsuni nearly $80,000 for using pole dancing footage in his music video without her permission.

Looks like Bow Wow will be paying a French porn star racks on racks. The Young Money Entertainment rapper has been ordered to fork over nearly $80,000 to adult actress Celine Tran for using footage of her dancing in his music video without permission.

TMZ reports that Tran, who goes by the name Katsuni, did some pole dancing in a music video for French band Electronic Conspiracy. The same footage pops up in Bow Wow’s video for “Drank in my Cup” — yes, the tune by rapper Kirko Bangz that spawned a million freestyles and remixes. So there’s twice as much jacking going on here.

Bow Wow, who recently dropped his Greenlight 5 mixtape, decided he didn’t have time to even respond to Katsuni’s lawsuit, which she filed in July of 2012. A judge ruled that that decision will cost Bow Wow attorney fees and damages of $79,346.07, and he will have to discontinue use of the footage immediately.

In October, Bow complained that his financial status was shaky. He told the judge at a child support hearing for his daughter Shai that he only makes $4,000 a month as an employee with Cash Money Records, before he signed on as co-host of BET’s “106 & Park.”
