Miley Cyrus Gets Heart Tattoo Amid Breakup Rumors

Singer's new ink is based on an anatomical sketch by Leonardo da Vinci, but is it inspired by up-in-the-air fiancé Liam Hemsworth?

Who needs to wear an engagement ring when you can express it with ink? The Miley Cyrus/ Liam Hemsworth breakup rumors won't quit, but Miley backed up her "everything is fine" claims Friday (March 15), getting a new heart tattoo.

Kat Von D did Miley's artwork at her High Voltage Tattoo studio in Hollywood, California. Kat Instagrammed a pic of the finished product, writing, "Just did the RADDEST tattoo on @MileyCyrus -a miniature rendition of a daVinci anatomical heart!"

E! News reports that Miley got the ink on the inside of her right forearm, under a Roman numeral tattoo she already had. One perceptive tweeter noted that Miley's new tat depicts two hearts beating one. It's actually two views of the same heart, as sketched around 1510 by Leonardo da Vinci, but maybe Miley will explain what she meant.

On Thursday she took to Twitter to clear up why her engagement ring has been MIA. After Miley's backup singer Lindsey J. Lee wrote that she had to send her engagement ring to get fixed because one of the diamonds fell out, Miley replied, "ugh that's the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off."

Miley Cyrus and Evan Rachel Wood team up against the tabloids.

Hemsworth has been mum on the issue, going home to Australia, then stopping by the Philippines and leaving Miley alone in L.A. to deny rumors that their nuptials have been called off. The 20-year-old singer has also used her solo time to swing by the set of rapper Tiffany Foxx's new video for "Twisted."
