German producer/DJ, EDM star and Lady Gaga tourmate Zedd has been added to the roster of performers for the 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards. The Breaking Woodie nominee will close out this year's show with his global smash "Clarity."
Tegan and Sara and MGK will co-host the Awards, which will take place on March 14 in Austin, Texas, featuring performances by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and Twenty One Pilots.
"I am thrilled to be performing at the 2013 Woodies!," said Zedd. "As a nominee I'm both thankful and excited for the opportunity and can't wait to unveil my set for the fans."
Zedd is among a number of notable nominees in the Breaking Woodies category, including Twenty One Pilots, the Lumineers, Earl Sweatshirt, Gold Fields, Alt-J and DJ Dillon Francis.
Tag Team Woodie nominee Pusha T and buzz band Atlas Genius have been added to the lineup for the Woodie Awards Festival, which will host performances by Alt-J, HAIM, Jake Bugg and Timeflies. The daytime fest will feature the debut of the MTV Jams stage, which will be broken in by Trinidad James, Travi$ Scott and Joey Bada$$.
The Woodie Awards Festival will take place during the annual South By Southwest Music Festival and is open to all SXSW badge holders and music fans over the age of 18. The 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards will then take over the night beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT with a host of hardware hand-outs and performances. MTV and mtvU will air a half-hour "2013 Woodie Awards" special on March 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
