The 'Side Effects' Of Two Sexiest Men Alive In One Film

'He has yet to actually go to the frat house where we meet on a yearly basis,' Jude Law joked of co-star Channing Tatum.

Steven Soderbergh must be a secret People magazine subscriber. How else to explain the director's penchant for casting Sexiest Man Alive title-holders in his films? From "Ocean's Thirteen" hunks George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to "Magic Mike" beefcake Matthew McConaughey, no Soderbergh project is complete without at least one former SMA.

It's only fitting then that the auteur's upcoming "Side Effects" boasts not one but two such hotties in actors Jude Law and Channing Tatum. (Though, to be fair, Tatum received his honor post-production.) Regardless, when we recently caught up with Law on the "Side Effects" red carpet we had to find out whether Tatum was fulfilling his Sexiest duties.

"He has yet to actually go to the frat house where we meet on a yearly basis," Law revealed. "We'll induct him into the secret handshake of the SMAs."

Despite this one short-coming, Law reported that Tatum was a model Sexiest Man Alive.

"He's shining. Come on, the guy is so comfortable," he continued. "He's also, I have to tell you, one of the sweetest men you will ever meet."

In addition to his People pictorial, Tatum's been flashing a lot of flesh lately, most notably in the striptastic "Magic Mike." But, as Law was quick to point out, buttocks shots weren't included in his Sexiest Man Alive arrangement when he was crowned in 2004.

"That wasn't part of the SMA contract when I was involved," Law joked. "Or maybe it was. We've got to keep up with the times."

Something Tatum is happy to do.

"It's not a contractual thing, but it's always a question," Tatum explained of flashing his derriere on film. "Why not? Why not everybody be naked?"

Why not, indeed.

"Side Effects" hits theaters February 8.
