MTV Movie Brawl Round Three: Vote Now!

'One Direction Documentary,' Emma Watson's 'Bling Ring' are officially out of the Brawl for it all.

Voting in the MTV Movie Brawl 2013 has proceeded more or less exactly as expected — though that can't be said for fans of One Direction.

Directioners failed to show up with enough support to push Morgan Spurlock's upcoming "One Direction" documentary into round three of the Brawl for it all, currently open for voting. Instead, it's the unlikely indie "Spring Breakers" that's advancing to the next round, going up against the box-office obliterator known as the "Iron Man" franchise. "Spring Breakers" over One Direction was the only major upset of the tournament thus far, but with the field winnowed down to the tournament's elite eight, it is now truly anybody's game.

Here are the match-ups for round three of the Movie Brawl:

(1) "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" vs. (4) "The Host"

Katniss Everdeen took down the powerhouse combo of Will and Jaden Smith's "After Earth" with ease, blasting into the third round of the Brawl by more than 20,000 votes. It was a stiffer competition between "The Host" and "Beautiful Creatures," with the new Stephenie Meyer adaptation squeaking past its competitor by 6,000 votes. Smart money puts the win in the "Hunger Games" column, then — but if the full force of Meyer's fan base comes out to play, the Brawlers of Panem could be in for a rude awakening.

(3) "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" vs. (2) "Thor: The Dark World"

Last round's "Perks of Being a Wallflower" reunion between Logan Lerman and Emma Watson ended with the "Harry Potter" star's newest movie, "The Bling Ring," taken out of the competition. Now, "Percy," an unlikely heavyweight in this tournament, goes up against the thunderous might of Marvel's "Thor" sequel, which already took down a juggernaut of its own in "Man of Steel." It's an epic, God-sized battle fully fitting for these two mythology-heavy blockbusters. It's anybody's guess who will come out on top.

(1) "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" vs. (4) "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"

Cassandra Clare's YA adaptation hits theaters at the end of the summer, but it's already proving itself as one of the most-anticipated films of the year. "Mortal Instruments" devastated "Carrie" in round two, beating the Chloe Moretz thriller by nearly 40,000 votes. The "Hobbit" sequel, meanwhile, just barely won out over "The Wolverine," the next entry in Hugh Jackman's X-Men franchise. Firebreathing dragons aside, "The Hobbit" simply doesn't have the same heat we've seen from "Mortal Instruments" throughout the Brawl. Something tells us Bilbo is about to pack his bags and head back to the Shire.

(6) "Spring Breakers" vs. (2) "Iron Man 3"

The only upset of the bracket came courtesy of James Franco and the hard-partying cast of "Spring Breakers," an unlikely indie that managed to kick the boys of One Direction out of the Brawl for it all. But are the good times about to end for Harmony Korine's new movie? After all, few heroes can party as hard as Tony Stark, and fewer still can win a fight with beer-goggles on. Marvel's first "Avengers" follow-up could very well blast past "Spring Breakers" and into next week's semi-finals.
