He may still be waiting on that Britney Spears collaboration, but former "Jersey Shore" star Pauly D isn't one to waste time ... so, on Tuesday (January 15), he decided to drop a banging new single, "Back To Love."
The track, which features Jay Sean on vocals, is the first off D's upcoming album on 50 Cent's G-Note Records, and is just one of several collabs that will be featured on the record: Pauly recently told MTV News that he had spent time in the studio with Big Sean, not to mention "a few other" surprise guests.
"I'm working heavily on my album right now, trying to lock down some producers, some artists," Pauly said. "I'm taking my time with it. I really want it to be great. I want the album to show my personality, just like my DJing does."
And, with its fist-pumping backbeat and dance floor-uniting breaks, "Back To Love" not only showcases Pauly's DJ skills, but fits rather nicely with 50 Cent's description of the still-untitled album, which he called "a cross between DJ Khaled and David Guetta." Fif also let it be known that when the album finally does drop, he plans on making it a priority at G-Note.
"Pauly's project is not all his performance on the actual records," he explained. "He obviously has a huge platform moving forward ... And being in front of large audiences every night DJing — we're gonna make a hit record out of the actual material that we have around and some of the new stuff that we'll put together."
