Could Juelz Santana, Lloyd Banks Collabo Lead To ‘Bigger’ Things?

Elz talks to MTV News about Monday's God Will'n release.

Juelz Santana is back, and on Monday, the Dipset MC will be dropping God Will’n, his first solo project in more than seven years. Now that Elz is back, he says he doesn’t plan to go anywhere, not only with his second mixtape, but with a third official LP on the way. Santana speculates on a possible collaboration project with his rhyme homey Lloyd Banks.

The two displayed an unforgettable chemistry on Banks’ gold 2010 single “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” and on God Will’n there will be another collaboration. Could all of this rap camaraderie lead to something more?

“A mixtape or somethin’,” Elz asked MTV News, answering our question with another question during our interview on Thursday. “Me and Banks are definitely cool enough. Me and Banks are cool not even on the music tip, like Banks comes to my house to light up a brown cigarette and things of that nature.”

For God Will’n the two NY lyric kings cooked up something that has Santana plenty excited. “Me and Banks actually recorded three records, it’s crazy. I think the whole tape is crazy, so everything I’ma say, I think it’s crazy,” he teased. “But to tell you about the record, we recorded the record together. He came to my studio. He played some beats. He actually had a song he wanted me to get on for his tape. I jumped on that, and he played another two beats, and we knocked a couple of records out.”

Judging for the energy Elz has exhibited on “Sho Nuff” and “Soft” (the two God Will’n tracks that have already hit the ‘Net), Santana hasn’t gathered any rust during his rap hiatus. If the Harlem spitter can keep things consistent, then the possibilities are endless. “Me and Banks, we got a good chemistry together. We do records fast. We got a good energy,” he said. “That might transpire into something a little bigger.”
