It's January, and the sun-drenched expanses of Indio, California seem impossibly far away ... so you can't blame folks for dreaming about Coachella 2013, though, really, we wish they'd cool it with the fantasy lineups.
Yes, in what's quickly become a yearly tradition, the Internet has once again whipped itself into a veritable frenzy over the supposed lineup for this year's fest, which will take place April 12-14 and 19-21 in the Coachella Valley. Everyone from the Rolling Stones to Daft Punk is supposedly playing, which sounds totally rad ... if only it were true.
There's been no official word from the folks at Goldenvoice, who organize Coachella, about this year's lineup, though we get the feeling we'll be seeing the actual bill of bands pretty soon ... after all, the lineup is usually released in early January.
But where's the fun in waiting? So, inspired by the annual kickoff of the speculation season, we decided to create our own totally bogus Coachella lineup, partially because we just learned how to use Photoshop but also because our completely fabricated lineup holds just as much weight as the other completely fabricated one. Like George Costanza once said: "It's not a lie if you believe it."
So here's a look at our totally fake Coachella 2013 lineup ... if you ask us, it's a pretty stellar bill, especially since we want to see One Direction and the Wanted fight to the death. Tickets go on sale February 1, with three-day passes running $1,000. Start saving now!
