Over the course of the last few years (and TV seasons), "Jersey Shore" star Snooki went from being a free-spirited party girl to settling down into domestic life. Last March, everything changed when the small-screen star not only got engaged to Jionni LaValle, but also learned she was on her way to becoming a first-time mom.
And, if you ask her if she ever envisioned her life turning out the way it has, the "Snooki & JWoww" star gives that question an enthusiastic "yes." "Well, I didn't know I was going to grow up on camera, so the fact that I did that's a little crazy," she told MTV News ahead of the season two premiere of "Snooki & JWoww" on Tuesday, January 8.
And, in true Snooki style, she has no regrets for the girl she was back then. "But I let it all out and everyone seen anything from starting the show, I was 21 just being able to drink, so that's when I went crazy — to boyfriends, to fights, to getting arrested — I basically did everything," she recalled. "And to now — 25 years old, engaged with a 3-month-old — I mean this is kind of where I wanted to be at this age. So I'm happy it all worked out."
Snooki has a few months to settle into life as a mom (she gave birth to Lorenzo back in August), and judging by what she told us, it's been great. "Oh, it's been a blast. Being a mom is definitely more easier than I thought it would be just because Lorenzo's amazing," she shared with MTV News. "He's a happy baby. He hardly cries... everything has been smooth sailing and it's been so fun."
With so much on her plate, Snooki and Jionni have decided to put their wedding on the back burner for the time being. She shared with MTV News last year that she was waiting until she had her baby, but it looks like there's another commitment she wants to see to completion before she walks down the aisle and officially becomes Mrs. LaValle.
"Me and Jionni want to have a house first, 'cause we don't want to get married and go back in his parent's basement," she explained. "So right now we're in the process of building our home, so until that's ready we're just waiting on the wedding, not rushing it."
