It's hard to say goodbye, but fans of the "Twilight Saga" are doing just that as the final film in the franchise, "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," hits theaters this weekend. And some fans just couldn't wait to see what was in store for Edward, Bella and the crew, hitting the theater for the first showing of the film late Thursday night.
So, did it live up to all their expectations? "It was amazing," Destinee Russi told MTV News after a Thursday night screening in New York. "I can't wait to see it again. I would say it was the better one out of all four. I liked it a lot. It had more action, more story line to do it."
And she wasn't the only Twilighter gushing over the movie. Other fans called it "epic" and "awesome," with Stephanie Garcia adding, "This was the best film ever. I mean I screamed my lungs out."
Gil Nunez also couldn't get over how he loved the film. He shared, "Oh my god, the film was incredibly great. I never thought I'd love a movie as much as I liked this one. I've seen all the rest, but this to top it off was icing on the cake."
Among some of the most buzzed-about moments after the screening included the latest Edward/Bella love scene and that unexpected twist ending.
While the "Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" sex scene was pretty hot (including some steamy headboard-breaking action), some fans found this latest one kind of dull. "It's pretty slow, like it shouldn't be in the movie," Stephanie Garcia said. "Personally, it was so drawn out. It's like 'Yeah, OK, we get it. They've done it multiple times.' "
Bianca Murzi, however, was on the other side of the fence. "It was really hot. Definitely much more involved than the last one, and I think we got to see a side of Edward and Bella the audience has been waiting for ... it was the best 'Twilight' film of the whole entire saga."
The end, which we won't spoil, diverted just enough from the novels to leave fans excited by the flip. April Scandariato summed it up to us: "This one, the ending, it made the whole movie. It made the whole saga."
