When Hurricane Sandy stormed through the Tri-State Area, the residents and business owners of the Jersey Shore were hit particularly hard, and many have yet to recover from the devastation.
MTV is helping raise awareness and funds for those affected by the storm via "Restore the Shore," a live benefit event with nonprofit organization Architecture for Humanity that airs Thursday, November 15, at 11 p.m. ET.
The stars of "Teen Mom" are asking fans to help out the once-thriving home of MTV's "Jersey Shore."
"Seaside Heights needs our help, right now," said Kailyn Lowry from "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom 2."
"Please help restore the Shore and rebuild Seaside Heights," said Chelsea Houska, also of "Teen Mom 2," with original "16 and Pregnant" star Maci Bookout adding, "They've given us a lot, so let's giving something back to the people of Seaside Heights."

MTV's own "Jersey Shore" cast will be a big part of the "Restore the Shore" efforts, as they gather in Times Square on Thursday with other celebrities to ask viewers to contribute to the rebuilding and restoration of their show's former home base, Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
Like the "Teen Mom" cast, the stars of "Jersey Shore" are asking for you to help out. "If you've watched 'Jersey Shore,' you've seen Seaside Heights in action," Pauly D says, with Ronnie adding, "The residents, the workers, everyone right now is struggling to get back on their feet because of the devastation of Hurricane Sandy."
