One Direction Say They're Looking For A Girl 'Like You'

In an episode airing Thursday, the guys open up to Ellen DeGeneres about their love lives and affinities for tattoos.

It's a big week for One Direction as they make the rounds promoting Take Me Home, including an appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday. And the talk-show host probably got the feeling their fans can't wait to see what she chatted with the guys about.

So ahead of the episode's airing, fans are getting an early glimpse at the interview, which finds the boy banders getting personal about their love lives and their love of getting inked.

When asked who is single, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan all raised their hands and further elaborated on what kinds of ladies they are looking for.

"I like someone that's cute. Someone I can have a laugh with. And I also like people that are American. And you all qualify," Niall explained to the many, many screaming fans in attendance. "I look for a girl who's in this audience," Liam concurred.

Harry got a bit more specific, sharing, "I just think someone fun. It helps if they're nice, someone like you," he told DeGeneres.

In addition to his taste in ladies, Harry also addressed his affection for tattoos, and his most recent ones: two birds on his chest. "Yeah, two little birdies. I went straight from work [in L.A. and got them]. [They are] a little bit sensitive [still]. I just like them. I think they're kind of like sailory... about, like, traveling," he said. "Birds fly. They fly a lot."

Their appearance comes the same week the guys drop their much-anticipated sophomore album release, Take Me Home. Need more 1D? Well, stay tuned to MTV News all week when we bring you our sit-down with the guys, every day at 9 a.m. ET on Be there, or be square!
