Snooki And Celebs Tweet Hurricane Sandy

'Jersey Shore' stars, late-night talk show hosts and more weigh in on the storm.

With many in the Northeast preparing for the worst as Hurricane Sandy makes its way up the shore, celebrities on the East Coast, the West Coast and everywhere in-between have taken to social media to send out their well-wishes to anyone who might be caught in the eye of the storm.

The East Coasters of the "Jersey Shore" crew tried to remain as encouraging as possible as the storm raged on through Monday (October 29), leaving destruction in the Garden State. Vinny tweeted, "I heard someone say it best: we made it through #9/11 we can make it through anything. #NewYork#SANDY." He later added, "#Sandy stop blowing the jersey shore you dirty bitch" and "Thoughts and prayers to my second home and fam in Seaside NJ."

His pal, Sammi, added, "Stay safe everyone during this crazy Sandy of a storm."

And, as the storm continued to leave destruction all over the East, including the show's home base in South Jersey, new mom Snooki wrote, "RIP seaside."

Trying to pass the time as the Big Apple's TV production halted to Hurricane Sandy, "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan tweeted, "Everyone on the east coast stay safe and batten down hatches!"

While production on "30 Rock" has been suspended due to the storm, late-night talk show host, Jimmy Fallon, pledged to keep his show going through the storm. He wrote, "Midtown NYC is empty, but we are still doing a live show!@sethmeyers21, @padmalakshmi & @imaginedragons #La" and then "Everyone in tonight's studio audience gets a free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. #LateNight #wehave10peopleinourau." But few hours later, Fallon gave into Sandy's wrath, tweeting, "We sent our audience home just to be safe. But we are doing our show tonight anyway. Should be fun. #LateNight."

While it seemed like Jimmy Kimmel would follow in Fallon's footsteps and continue to tape his late-night talk show on Monday (normally in L.A., he's in New York City this week), he tweeted that the show would no longer be taping. He wrote, "Though it pains us to do it, JKLfrom #Brooklyn tonight is cancelled. I'm disappointed too, but we want you to be safe."

The Kardashian sisters had only support for those left to brave Sandy. "Back in Miami now. Missed the storm. I'm praying for everyone on the East Coast. I hope everyone is safe!" Kim wrote, with sister Khloe adding, "Praying for everyone on the East."

Ricky Gervais decided to have a little fun when it came to the hurricane and the Kardashian sisters when he wrote, "This 'Sandy' who's on TV all the time and is blowing the entire east coast, I assume she's a Kardashian right?"

Using her own signature sense of humor, comedian and actress Mindy Kaling shared, "9 months from now hopefully we will have some cool Hurricane Sandy babies! On the west coast we never get to bond over weather panic. We're like oh no an earthquake for 2 seconds, then go to spin class or whatever."

Lindsay Lohan seemed perplexed by the onslaught of serious media attention the storm had been receiving when she tweeted, "WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace."
