MTV's 'House Of Style' Host Karlie Kloss Breaks Down Fierce Fall Fashions

Supermodel appears on 'Today' show fresh off of New York Fashion Week to weigh in on the hottest looks this fall.

With the weekend almost here, it might be a good time to head out to your local mall and pick up some fierce new fall fashions. And if you're wondering what you should grab, "House of Style" host Karlie Kloss has your back.

The supermodel appeared on the "Today" show on Friday (October 19), fresh off of New York Fashion Week, to dish on what to wear this season, and there seems to be something for every kind of fashionista.

First up, Kloss shared that the enigmatic smoky eye look is making the leap from night to day. "You know smoky eyes are great," she said. "It's a timeless evening look, but one thing that we're really seeing is women are starting to wear them during the day so you know you can buy these [palettes] at Sephora."

And, the perfect accessory to pair with smoky eyes is anything in the shade of deep oxblood red. "Oxblood is huge and a great way to incorporate it into your wardrobe this season is through a staple bag," she added. What kind of staple bag does she suggest? Kloss threw out an old-school suggestion. "Another great thing that we're seeing right now is backpacks. Backpacks are really fun and youthful as well."

Kloss went on to explain how two practical accessories — glasses and iPhone cases — can also be a fashion statement. "So, one thing an accessory you have with you all day, 24/7 is your iPhone, so this [case] is a great, fun way to show your personality." And for those who need spectacles to see, she suggested to go for metal frames. "Metals are huge trend. The titanium frames are a great look, and super light."

Kloss added that you can also add metals to your shoes — whether they're boots, flats or heels — as "a fun way to bring a trend into your wardrobe."

She also noted a big beauty trend these days is oils and oil-based products. "Oils are great for your hair, skin, nails; that's a huge trend we're seeing as well," she said. "Moisture, it's all about moisture."

The latest incarnation of "House of Style" kicked off earlier this week with Kloss and co-host and fellow professional catwalker Joan Smalls tackling the hosting duties, which have previously belonged to the likes of Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn, Amber Valletta, Shalom Harlow, Daisy Fuentes and Molly Sims. For the premiere episode, the lucky ladies took fashion mavens behind the scenes of one of the hottest tickets on the face of the planet, Fashion Week in Paris.
