For a rapper, a great lyric can go a long way. Actually, in hip-hop it's an MC's lyrics that separate the men from the boys. So for Wednesday's "RapFix Live," we've got some great lyricists on deck. Things will get very interesting when MTV News' Sway welcomes Talib Kweli, [article id="1665600"]Skyzoo[/article] and the recently freed Chi-Ali to the "RFL" couch.
On Wednesday at 4 p.m. on RapFix.MTV.com, Brooklyn, New York, MC Skyzoo will be touching down to talk about his new album, A Dream Deferred. Sky will be walking on set with [article id="1693775"]Chi-Ali[/article], who came home from an eight-year prison bid in August. The 1990s spitter hit the studio with Sky almost immediately after his release, and together they recorded the "Jansport Strings" remix. On it, Zoo rhymes about how it was Chi-Ali who influenced him to rap. "One time up for Chi-Ali/ Because I can be in a box if I ain't see that screen," Sky spits, referencing the first time he saw Chi's "Age Ain't Nothin' But a #" music video in 1992.
"It feels great," Chi-Ali said told MTV News last month about his release from prison. "The feeling is surreal to be back in the free world amongst my family."
If that isn't enough, rap veteran Talib Kweli will come through to talk about his upcoming mixtape, Prisoner of Conscious. You're not going to want to miss this!
Catch Talib Kweli, Skyzoo and Chi-Ali on "RapFix Live" Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on RapFix.MTV.com, and be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the MCs @MTVRapFix!
