Megan & Liz Belt Out Taylor Swift's 'Never Ever' Cover

YouTube twins harmonize on 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' and tell MTV News of the time they met their idol.

Internet sensations Megan and Liz Mace have made a name for themselves coming up with clever covers of their favorite artists' songs, which have earned them more than 176 million views on their YouTube channel. The twin sisters have covered everyone from One Direction to their favorite, Taylor Swift.

MTV News caught up with the girls recently as we went back-to-school shopping, when they revealed that their cover of Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was "coming up soon."

Well, they weren't kidding! On Tuesday (September 11), the girls released their version of "Never Ever," and in less than 24 hours, the video already has over 51,000 views.

Yet, this isn't the first time they have taken on a Swift song. They have covered several of the star's hits, including "Safe & Sound" and "Fearless." One day, they hope team up with Swift for a song of their own.

"Obviously, if Taylor Swift was like, 'Hey girls, would you want to do a song?' " Liz said.

Megan added, "We'd be like, 'OK!' "

Well, they got the first step down, the two sisters have already met Swift, even if they have a hard time remembering what happened.

"We were like 16 at this point so this was total fan girl mode," Megan said.

Liz added, "I don't remember a thing!"

"Me either, I was so like, I love, I probably said something totally like not impressionable at all, like, 'Your song ..." Megan said.

Liz interjected, " 'Inspired me.' "

"Yeah, something like that," Megan said. "Hopefully I can redeem myself."

Liz added, "Hopefully we made a good impression."

Well, until they get that call from Swift, the girls will continue to be hard at work on their upcoming debut and are currently enjoying the success of their new single, "Bad for Me," which is holding the #68 position on the iTunes charts.

"It's going," Megan said of their album, which they hope to release early next year. "It's so crazy, we keep changing how we sound and what we want our album to be, so it'll be like songs that we write two months ago might not work two months later. It's crazy, but they're definitely collecting. So we're really excited."
