Lady Gaga Bringing Born This Way Ball To U.S.

Singer announces North American tour dates beginning in January.

Lady Gaga has been taking her Born This Way Ball all around the world in 2012, but in 2013, it’s time for the U.S. to see what all the fuss is about. On Wednesday (September 5), the singer announced the first batch of her North American tour dates for the eye-catching jaunt, which kicked off in April in South Korea.

The Mother Monster will play abroad through December and then hit Vancouver on January 11 and three days later land back in America for the first U.S. stop set to take place on January 14 in Tacoma, Washington.

She will tour the U.S. and Canada through March with stops in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston and Brooklyn, to name a few. The first installment of North American dates end on March 16 in Miami.

For a full list of dates, fans can head to Littlemonsters.com. More dates will be announced at a later time. She’s had a number of acts opening for her while on the road, including EDM star Zedd , but no opening act has been announced yet for the latest string of BTW Ball dates.

Lady Gaga is set to release her next album, ARTPOP, sometime in 2013 as well. Recently she tweeted that she is channeling a “stoned Disney princess” for the release, and has previously said she’s embracing immaturity for the follow-up to 2011′s Born This Way.

“Let’s just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote Born This Way, I demonstrated a sense of maturity,” she said at a tour stop. “And I feel that on the next album, there’s a lack of maturity — it’s a tremendous lack of maturity or sense of responsibility.”
She’s reportedly hit the studio with a number of folks for the album, including Zedd, BTW producer DJ White Shadow, rapper Azealia Banks and Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich.
