That old saying "one door closes, another door opens" certainly appears to be ringing true for Snooki. "Jersey Shore" may be coming to an end, but our favorite animal-print-loving gal declared that "the partying is long gone" anyway as she posed with her new baby in a tender photo shoot for People magazine.
People has the exclusive first photos of the reality-show star and her brand-new baby boy, Lorenzo Dominic LaValle. The woman whose driver's license reads Nicole Elizabeth Polizzi is pictured cozying up with her new bundle of joy on the magazine's cover, promising an inside look "At Home with the Baby!"
Snooki and her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, welcomed Lorenzo into the world at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, at 3 a.m. on August 26, just four days before MTV announced the upcoming sixth season of "Jersey Shore" will be its last. Much of Snooki's pregnancy was chronicled in the "Jersey Shore" spin-off series "Snooki & JWoww." The final season of "Jersey Shore" was filmed during the last few months she was expecting.
The morning of her son's birth, Snooki tweeted, "I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE'S MY WORLD!" Snooki and Lorenzo were photographed for People in New Jersey on September 1, one day before the little man turned a week old.
The final season of the pop-culture phenomenon that made Snooki famous isn't scheduled to kick off until Thursday, October 4, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, but MTV has prepped a massive look back which will get the party started this week before the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Beginning Thursday at 6 p.m. ET/PT, fists will be pumping in the new special "Gym, Tan, Look Back."
In the one-hour retrospective, clips from the forthcoming final season will intermingle with interview footage and classic moments as smoothly as the cast's extracurricular hookups, bust-ups and book deals have unfolded since we first got to know them back in December 2009. "Gym, Tan, Look Back" will arrive following a full day of "Jersey Shore" episodes on MTV, each filled with catchphrases and hair gel.
Right on the heels of the debut of the retrospective, the "Jersey Shore" cast will join MTV News during the 7 p.m. VMA pre-show for an exclusive first interview about life since Snooki had her little meatball; be sure to tune in before the main event at 8 p.m. They'll take a look back, talk about what we'll see in Season six and, presumably, reflect on what life will hold for them following the conclusion of the show that made them famous.
