Considering all the prominent musicians will.i.am asked to join him on his upcoming #willpower album, occasional pop star Lindsay Lohan wasn't one of them — but maybe next time, she said.
The Hollywood starlet was baffled by the snub when she hit up his album listening party earlier this week in Los Angeles. "I'm not. He didn't ask me. Explain that," she joked to E! News with the Black Eyed Pea standing right beside her. When he explained he didn't ask because she was busy working on a number of acting projects, she noted, "I was filming and I had other things to handle. So maybe the next one. Maybe he'll do my next one."
will, however, offered up an alternative idea, "Or after this listening party, I'll find out what we're missing and then we'll record a song tomorrow."
Well, fans will have to wait until #willpower drops to hear if Lohan and will.i.am were able to make it happen. But he was able to secure a number of other folks to make an appearance, including Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, LMFAO and a rumored track with Britney Spears. Alicia Keys, Swedish House Mafia, Shakira, Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz may also all appear on the record, set to drop later this year.
As for Lohan, she has been busy working on her recently revived movie career, but she isn't new to the music game. The red-headed actress previously released two albums Speak in 2004 and A Little More Personal (Raw) in 2005, which featured her classic "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)."
In the fall of 2010, Lohan was rumored to be working on tracks with producer RedOne, but he later denied those rumors to MTV News. "That's not true. It's a lot of lies out there," he said. "They said I worked with Lindsay. They said Heidi Montag — all of these are just lies. Same thing with Lady Gaga: [Other people] say, 'I'm collaborating with Lady Gaga,' just to get headlines and I think the same thing for me when it comes to the producer."
