Given that [artist id="3815363"]Pauly D[/artist] is one of the highest-paid DJs in the game, it comes as no surprise that he has the power to enlist the help of some of the hottest rappers as he preps tracks for his G-Note Records debut. It also probably doesn't hurt that he calls 50 Cent a pal and a boss.
When MTV News caught up with the "Jersey Shore" star earlier this week, he gave us an update on his album's progress.
"The album's going great!" he said with a smile on his face. "I'm working on it heavy right now with 50."
In addition to asking Fif for some assistance, he also recruited another headliner to drop some G.O.O.D. bars. "I got a lot of features coming out, and it's good to be in the studio working on it," he said. "I can't really say, but Big Sean might be on it."
Sean's appearance on Pauly's album shouldn't be too surprising, as he continues to combine hard-core hip-hop and pop. Sean appears on Justin Bieber's latest single, "As Long as You Love Me."
Meanwhile, Pauly's album has been long in-the-works since 50 Cent signed him to G-Note Records late last year. And Pauly has only nice things to say about having the rapper as his mentor and manager, noting they have more in common than fans might imagine.
"When me and 50 met, it was, like, instant chemistry," he explained. "Like, he gets me, I get him. You know what? We just have a bond. His business work ethic is just like mine. He's a hustler his whole life, and so am I, and we just clicked."
In addition to his album, fans can see what Pauly is up to in his personal life when a new season of the "Jersey Shore" kicks off in October.
