'Mad Men' Locking In Elisabeth Moss, January Jones Through Series Finale

Vincent Kartheiser also close to re-signing with Emmy-nominated series, which heads back into production in October.

"Mad Men" isn't letting anyone go anytime soon. According to a new report, January Jones, Vincent Kartheiser and Elisabeth Moss are all finalizing two-year deals that would keep them on the critically acclaimed AMC series until its very end.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series' stars are close to locking in deals with Lionsgate TV.

Over the course of last season, which wrapped up earlier this summer, Jones' Betty, Kartheiser's Pete Campbell and Moss' Peggy Olson had some game-changing story lines. Moss' return is particularly interesting given that at the end of last season, she left her mentor Don Draper behind to work at a new ad agency, leading the audience to believe that was the last they would see of Moss.

Don Draper himself, Jon Hamm, is already locked in for the last two seasons of the show, and Christina Hendricks is currently in talks for a new deal to keep her on the show for seasons six and seven. Her character, Joan Harris, played a major power move in season 5 that landed her a partnership at the ad agency.

THR further reported that production for the next season will begin in October.

Deadline Hollywood reported that new, finalized deals for Jones, Moss and Kartheiser will give them significant salary bumps. Hendricks is hoping for the same deal to finalize her contract.

The show recently earned 17 Emmy nominations, including one for Best Drama. They have taken home that prize for the last four years.

Last month, show creator Matthew Weiner confirmed that despite AMC only renewing the show through season six, there will in fact be a season seven, which will be the series' last.

"We cannot rely on the official language of things. There will be a season 7," he told TV Line. "Jon Hamm is signed on for it, I'm signed on for it ... I mean, if season 6 has one viewer ... but I don't think [ratings] is what it's about. I think season 7 has already been internationally sold. ... It's going to happen."
