On Tuesday, rumors began circulating that Chris Brown and Rihanna were hanging out together in Europe. While both of the stars had been tweeting about trips there, Brown's rep is denying that they spent any time together in the South of France.

"[Chris Brown] is in France to shoot a music video for [the] Swizz Beatz album and Ludacris is in it. It's Swizz's song," his rep told Hollyscoop about the alleged St. Tropez hangout session, which then prompted speculation that Brown had split from his longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. The rep added, "Karrueche is there with him. ... They never broke up. He is not on [Rihanna's] yacht. There is no Rihanna connection."

While a rep for Brown denies the former couple have any dates set up while they each spend time abroad, they did both begin tweeting about being in the vicinity of Cannes mere hours apart from one another on July 22. Ri shared, "Touch down baby, help me pick out my fit," while Brown's tweet focused on Ludacris flying a helicopter. Adding fuel to the speculation is that both singers had been spotted hanging out on Magic Johnson's yacht, though not at the same time.

Rihanna hasn't spoken out yet on the Brown rumors, but she did confirm on her Twitter page that while out on the town in Cannes she did end up breaking her toe. In the hours since Brown released his statement denying any affiliation with Ri, she did send out a tweet asking her [article id="1688864"]late grandmother[/article], writing "I wish u were here... Got so many questions and you always had answers #grangranDOLLY. Send a message in the wind or something please #grangranDOLLY."
