There was almost too much "Twilight" excitement to behold at this year's San Diego Comic-Con! We're still getting over the adrenaline rush that was multiple interviews with the castmembers, new footage screened at the panel and all the unbridled energy we absorbed from the franchise's dedicated and lovable fans.
Speaking of my fellow fans, to whom this week's "Twilight" Tuesday is dedicated, much like what Kristen Stewart told me about her gratitude for the constant support, I cannot express enough how nice it is to interact with everyone at "Twilight" events. I was lucky enough to spend some time with a few of the Twilighters who camped out for multiple days for the "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" panel, and it was such a treat. Shout-outs to Mary Lou (@TwiZing), Sandy (@TatooMickey), Sarah (@RNSarahM) and Kristin (@Spunk_Ransom). See you all in Tent City in November!
On to the star-studded meat of this week's column, which features a bite from an interview I did with Billy Burke, a.k.a. Charlie Swan, during which we discussed one of the more emotional scenes in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," when Charlie meets Bella as a vampire.
"Well, first of all, Kristen and I, we've had a great time throughout the entire filming experience, and that scene in particular, the last episode of the entire saga, was kind of emotional for everybody, and surprisingly so," he told us at Entertainment Weekly's popular Comic-Con celebration. "Nobody really expected that, and as we were doing it, it kind of hits you."
In addition to his final and surprisingly emotional scenes with onscreen daughter Stewart in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," look for Burke in J.J. Abrams' anticipated new sci-fi/drama "Revolution," which is set to premiere on NBC on Monday, September 17.
