'Oz' Stars Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams Talk Playing Good (And Bad) Witches

'One is good, two are not so good,' Kunis tells MTV News during a chat about 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' at Comic-Con.

SAN DIEGO — Movies news continues to come out of San Diego Comic-Con fast and furious. Thursday's lineup included a first look at the trailer for "Oz: The Great and Powerful," which was introduced by director Sam Raimi and special guest stars Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams.

MTV News' Josh Horowitz was lucky enough to chat with the trio from the highly anticipated film and they offered up a few details about the young witches in the movie.

"I play a character named Theodora who is also a witch," Kunis explained. "She has a sister, Evanora, who too is a witch [played by] Rachel Weisz, who is fantastic. So you have Glinda, Theodora and Evanora. One is good, two are not so good," before correcting herself: "One is really bad."

Speaking of being bad, we asked Kunis about the point in the film when her character turns a certain shade of evil, a shift teased in the trailer. But the actress wouldn't confirm or deny that particular plot point. "No one said it was my shade of skin," Kunis responded. "It was just a shade, maybe of a green tone, not particularly on me. We don't know these things yet."

Turning the conversation back to things we do know, we asked Williams to explain how much of the original Glinda we'll see in her interpretation of the character and how much of her performance was informed by the sweet, full-of-sunshine Good Witch of the classics.

"I think I would hope to be inspired by it," Williams said. "Our story pre-figures 'The Wizard of Oz' — that's who my character turns into, that's her in her most crystallized perfect form,' she added. "I thought it was an opportunity to see who she might have been when she was younger, when she was at the precipice of her powers and wasn't fully realized into the Glinda that we know and love from the classic film."
