'Twilight' Star Jackson Rathbone Welcomes Baby Boy

'Sheila [Hafsadi] & I couldn't be happier to have such a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI,' actor tweets.

There's a new "Twilight" baby in town! On Thursday, Jackson Rathbone and girlfriend Sheila Hafsadi welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.

"Thank you ALL for the love & support! Sheila & I couldn't be happier to have such a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI," the "Twilight" star tweeted. "Feeling so blessed! What an amazing day! Love and respect, Bone Daddy."

The 27-year-old actor, whose real name is Monroe Jackson Rathbone V, continues his family's tradition by naming his newborn son Monroe, who was born at 9:43 a.m., weighing in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces.

Jackson met Hafsadi, 24, a burlesque dancer, while on tour with his band 100 Monkeys, and after five months of pregnancy, announced they were expecting back in February. Later that month, Rathbone told US Weekly he couldn't be more excited to become a dad.

"One of the greatest things I could expect to be in life is a father," Rathbone said at the premiere of the Amanda Seyfried thriller "Gone." "I'm very excited!"

In March, Rathbone announced via Twitter that he and his girlfriend were welcoming their baby boy into the world, and in that same month, decided that after four years, he was leaving his band 100 Monkeys due to personal and career demands.

Besides taking on the role of full-time father, Rathbone will be seen playing Jasper Hale for the last time in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," due in theatres November 16.

The happy news came on the same day that fellow "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet announced that he is expecting his second child with longtime love Dominique Geisendorff.
