For those of you who treated yourself to the dazzling display of man candy that is "Magic Mike" over the weekend, how disappointed were you when the movie — and more specifically, all the male stripping — ended? To fill that void, you could, of course, go see the film again. But we also have some potentially happy news for you in the form of footage that was left on the cutting room floor that might reappear for home viewing on the movie's DVD/Blu-ray release.
When MTV News caught up with executive producer and star Channing Tatum recently, we asked him to give us a hint of what we might see in the Special Features section on the DVD/Blu-ray.
"The whole dances," Tatum said. "[Steven] Soderbergh and I, we fought so hard to try to figure out how much of the dances can you actually show. The thing about male stripping is, they all end the exact same way. You start clothed and you end naked, that's it. So the interesting stuff is up front, and the redundant stuff is towards the end. If you showed all of them from front to finish, they're boring. Even at the end of a male revue, you're like, 'Ah yeah, I get it.' "
Tatum went on to say that they were only able to show mere snippets of the impressive routines turned in by his co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Adam Rodriguez.
"The fact is that they were awesome and we had to make pieces of them tell the story, we couldn't show the whole thing," he explained. "I hope all of them make it on [the DVD]. There's some of them that are going to blow your mind when you see the entire thing. These guys worked so hard on them."
Check out everything we've got on "Magic Mike."
